James Perez is the Assistant Director of Football Sports Performance at Stanford University. Prior to being elevated to his current role, he had previous stops as the top Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Fresno State University, as the Director of Athletic Performance at Sacred Heart Schools in Atherton, CA, a Physical Therapy Aid at PT Northwest, as well as professional internships at both Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
Perez was a dual sport athlete at Willamette University as part of the baseball team for two years and the football program for four years before beginning his professional football career overseas. Perez competed in the 2011 and 2012 seasons in the European Football League, Maple League of Finland as a triple-position threat, defensive back, wide receiver and return specialist, for the Jyvaskyla Jaguaarit.
