Episode #123: Natalie Portwood

Natalie Portwood is an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of South Dakota. Portwood works with the ‘Yotes women’s basketball and women’s soccer teams in addition to being the first assistant for football. She joined South Dakota in the summer of 2022 after spending the previous year and a half as a sports performance graduate assistant at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she oversaw the basketball, volleyball and softball programs while also assisting with football. Portwood also garnered experience as an intern coach at both the University of North Texas and her alma mater, the University of Nevada, Reno.

A self-proclaimed failed athlete, Portwood got into the weight room in college and continues to love training. She is an avid lifter and enjoys golfing and being outdoors when she is not training in the weight room.
